El Dorado Hills is the newest and the steepest place we work. Fewer than one home in eight was built before 1980 and fewer than a hundred predate 1960, so the houses are large, the driveways are long and the doorways are generous. What costs time here is not the furniture — it is the ground and the gate. Sampled across the boundary, the land runs from 397 to 1,303 feet, and the map carries about three times as many gates and private roads as the next town on this list.

Nine hundred and six feet between the lowest and highest ground

USGS elevation sampled at ninety-eight points inside the boundary runs 397 to 1,303 feet, median 810. A loaded dolly does not care about a view. Where a driveway falls away from the house we plan the carry before the truck is loaded rather than after.

The gate is part of the job

Open map data records about three times as many gates and private or restricted roads here as in any other town we serve. A code that does not work, or a guard with no name on the list, is an hour of four people standing still. Give us the gate and the contact when you book.

The unit is the village, not the street

The area has been planned in villages since the 1987 specific plan, and that is still how people give directions and how associations set rules. Tell us the village as well as the address — it is often what decides which entrance a truck is allowed to use.

Newest housing of anywhere we work

ACS counts only 2,233 of 18,791 units built in 1979 or earlier, with 6,628 built between 2000 and 2009. Wide stairs and double doors make the carry easier; what fills the hours instead is square footage, the garage and the distance from the kerb to the door.

How a move here is charged

Easy Move Sacramento charges one hourly rate with the truck inside it. You are billed for the loading, the unloading and double the drive between your two addresses, on a 4-hour minimum — $516 with two movers, at $129 an hour.

California bills that drive twice over — Maximum Rate Tariff 4, Item 36. It applies to every hourly local move, whatever the distance. It is the state tariff rather than our surcharge, and it is on the estimate before you book.

Rates: $129 an hour for two movers, $179 for three, $219 for four.

New here, not new to this

We are the Sacramento branch of Easy Move Florida, which has been moving families since 2021 and holds 4.7 on Thumbtack from 33 reviews and 5.0 on Google from 8. Thumbtack publishes a review only against a job booked through it; Google goes by its own genuine-experience policies. Both show every review rather than a chosen few. Those reviews belong to the Easy Move Florida office and to the same owner who will run your move here; Sacramento has just opened, and our own reviews will come from our first jobs in the metro.

Questions people ask

Do you work inside gated communities?

Yes, and it is routine here. Give us the gate code or the guard-house contact when you book so the crew is on the list before the day. That one detail is the most common reason a move in this area starts late.

How much does a move in El Dorado Hills cost?

Four billable hours is the minimum, at the hourly rate for your crew size, with the truck inside that rate. Billable time is the loading, the unloading and double the drive between your two addresses. Larger houses here usually mean more hours rather than a different rate.

Is El Dorado Hills a long drive for you?

It is about twenty-seven miles from the Capitol, so it is a real drive and the estimate shows it as its own line. The hourly rate is the same as in Sacramento; what changes is the measured drive between your two addresses, doubled as the state tariff requires.

Does the HOA need paperwork from you?

Some do, and a certificate of insurance is the usual request. Say which association when you book and we will send it to them ourselves rather than handing you a form.
