Movers in Rocklin — built on granite, and up a slope more often than not
Owner-led crews across Rocklin. One hourly rate with the truck in it, a written estimate before the work starts, English and Russian.
Not taking bookings yet — our California mover permit is with the state regulator. The rates and the way we work are below; ask anything and we will answer.
A price in about a minute, or a written answer the same day.

Rocklin was a granite town before it was a suburb — the stone in the State Capitol came out of quarries inside the city from 1855 — and the granite is still why the ground here rolls the way it does. The city more than doubled every decade from 1970 to 2000, so most of what we move is late-twentieth-century tract housing on ground that is rarely flat. It sits about six miles northeast of Roseville and twenty-two from Sacramento, which puts almost every job here on the doubled side of California’s drive-time rule.

The ground rolls, and driveways follow it
Tract housing built across granite ridges means a lot of homes sit above or below the road. It is not dramatic, but it is a slope on every trip with a loaded dolly, and over a day it is real time. We ask about it when writing the estimate so the hours are honest rather than optimistic.
Rocklin to Roseville is six miles — just over the line
Six miles between the two city centres, and California’s Maximum Rate Tariff 4 requires the driving time to be billed twice on every hourly local move, whatever the distance. So even this short hop is doubled. It is a short drive to double, which is exactly why the estimate should show the number rather than a rule.
Placer County, same hourly rate
Nothing about the rate changes because you are north of the county line. The hourly figures are the same in Rocklin as in Sacramento; what changes is the drive time, and the tariff that governs it is a state rule that applies to every mover in California.
Student turnover moves the calendar
With a college in town, late August and early September are the busiest fortnight of the year for small moves here. If your date is in that window, book early — not because the price changes, but because the slots genuinely run out.
How a move here is charged
One hourly rate with the truck inside it. The minimum is 3 hours of work plus 1 hour of travel — $516 with two movers, at $129 an hour.
California bills that drive twice over — Maximum Rate Tariff 4, Item 36. It applies to every hourly local move, whatever the distance. It is the state tariff rather than our surcharge, and it is on the estimate before you book.
Rates: $129 an hour for two movers, $179 for three, $219 for four.
New here, not new to this
We are the Sacramento branch of Easy Move Florida, which has been moving families since 2021 and holds 5.0 out of 5 from 32 reviews on Thumbtack. Those reviews belong to the Easy Move Florida office. Sacramento has just opened, and our own reviews will come from our first moves here.
Thumbtack →Questions people ask
Is Rocklin outside your area?
No, it is inside it. Rocklin, Roseville and Lincoln are all normal bookings. The county line does not change the hourly rate; only the drive time between your two addresses changes with distance, and that is shown on the estimate.
Why is a six-mile drive billed twice?
Because California says so above five miles. Item 36 of Maximum Rate Tariff 4 makes double drive time the rule for hourly local moves, and it applies to every licensed mover in the state. We put it on the estimate rather than letting it appear as a longer day.
Can you do a same-week move?
Often, yes. We are a small operation, which cuts both ways: no call centre promising a slot that does not exist, and no pretence that four crews can go out tomorrow. Call and you will get a straight answer about the date.
Do you take apartments as well as houses?
Yes, and if the complex wants a lift booked or a certificate of insurance, we arrange it with the office ourselves before the day. That paperwork is the usual reason a move starts an hour late when it is left to the customer.
