How much do movers cost in Rancho Cordova?
A local move in Rancho Cordova is charged by the hour with the truck inside the rate, on a minimum of three hours of work plus one hour of travel. The hours turn on which layer of the city you are in: the post-war streets off Folsom Boulevard have short drives and single garages, while the newer villages load about as fast as anywhere in the metro.
Not taking bookings yet — our California mover permit is with the state regulator. The rates and the way we work are below; ask anything and we will answer.

Rancho Cordova was built in layers along US-50 — the original streets from the late 1940s, decades of subdivisions after them, then planned communities further east. It is also one of the parts of the county where a Russian-speaking crew is ordinary rather than remarkable, and where the estimate can be written in Russian if that is easier.
| Home size | Crew | Typical total |
|---|---|---|
| Studio | 2 · $129/hr | from $516 |
| 1 bedroom | 2 · $129/hr | from $516 |
| 2 bedrooms | 2 · $129/hr | from $710 |
| 3 bedrooms | 3 · $179/hr | from $1253 |
Truck included · minimum 3 hours of labour plus 1 hour of travel, so $516 with two movers · a longer drive bills the doubled time instead, as the state tariff requires
What moves the hours here
The old grid and the new villages are different hours
Short driveways, single garages and mature street trees limit where a twenty-six-foot truck can stand on the older streets. The newer villages have none of those problems. Both are normal work; they simply take different amounts of it.
Complexes usually want the lift booked
A large share of the housing here is in complexes that require a moving window and sometimes a certificate of insurance. We arrange that with the office ourselves, because paperwork left to the customer is the usual reason a morning starts an hour late.
Ten miles into Sacramento, billed twice
Well past the five-mile threshold, so Item 36 of Maximum Rate Tariff 4 requires the driving time to be doubled. Rancho Cordova to Gold River or Carmichael is much shorter and the estimate shows the difference plainly.
Double drive time, and why it is on your bill
Maximum Rate Tariff 4, Item 36: an hourly local move bills loading, unloading and double the driving time between your two addresses. The tariff sets no distance threshold, so it applies however short the drive. It is the state tariff rather than a company surcharge, and the line is on your estimate before you book.
Questions people ask
Можно посчитать и обсудить всё по-русски?
Да. Владелец сам пишет сметы по-русски и по-английски, часть бригады говорит по-украински. С офисом комплекса договариваемся мы.
Is a one-bedroom flat still charged the full minimum?
Yes — three hours of work plus one hour of travel is the floor, whatever the size of the job. We say so before you book rather than after, because a small move finishing in two hours still bills the minimum.
Do you charge for the drive to our storage unit as well?
The measured drive between the addresses on the job is what is billed, doubled where the tariff requires it. If a storage unit is one of the stops, it is one of the addresses, and the estimate will show it.
